Distinguished Alumni

Each year GSEF honors one or more graduates from Greensburg Salem High School (Greensburg High School) for their dedication to public service and their community, and, MOST IMPORTANTLY, for being a role model for youth.

This April join us as we celebrate are two newest recipients of the Greensburg Salem Distinguished Alumni Awards:

  • William “Bill” Jackson, class of 1958
  • Julius R. Falcon, posthumously, class of 1940.

The Distinguished Alumni Banquet will be held on April 21. Please join us to celebrate these two alumni who have dedicated themselves to the youth of our community!

Reservations are required. Click here for the reservation form.

In 2016, three very special GS graduates were honored (l-r) Paul Murphy (’64), Howard “Huddie” Kaufman (’46) and Dr. Jack Smith (’65) who were joined here by Huddie’s son Jeff (far right).

Anita Cremonese Leonard (’61) and the Honorable John j. Driscoll (’59) shared the Distinguished Alumni honors in 2015.
Perhaps no Greensburg (Salem) graduate embodies the description of a Distinguished Alumni more than the first honoree — Chief Eddie Hutchinson, GHS Class of 1939. He is pictured here with keynote speaker Brigadier General Dave Papak, US Marine Corps (Retired) and Master of Ceremonies, David Zilli.
